AboutEmilie Gateau (b. 2001) is a director, writer and editor with a Nicaraguan French background based in Brooklyn. She is currently working for Weekend PostHouse as an editing intern and developing the screenplay for her thesis short film at the School of Visual Arts, where she is working towards her BFA in Directing and minor in Editing. As a filmmaker her goal is to tell visually impactful stories that explore challenging life scenarios and the ways nuanced and complex characters make their way through them. Film is the blank canvas Emilie can construct and design alternative realities that may pique others’ imaginations and curiosities
